At the age of 6, Shelley caught the ballet bug! She attended a school run by the late Shirley Rees-Edwards, held in a tiny hall in Winton. At 11, she was awarded a place at the prestigious Arts Educational School, now known as just Tring Park. After 5 fabulous years of vocational training at Tring, Shelley studied at Laine Theatre Arts, gaining her "Equity" card and associate ISTD Ballet and Modern Teaching exams. Many pantos and Summer seasons later, she met and married wonderful husband Sean and they had 3 beautiful children.

Lawlor School of Dance started with 6 Pre-Schoolers in 2004, nearly 20 years on we have almost 150 students, studying RAD Ballet, PBT, PCT and our newest addition, Rambert Grades Contemporary classes.
